The January transfer window might seem like a distant memory, but that doesn’t mean the rumour mill has shut down! Speculation over summer moves is heating up, so check out the latest gossip below, and see all official deals here.

TOP STORY: Camavinga on Barca’s reinforcements list

Barcelona are interested in signing Rennes wonderkid Eduardo Camavinga as a replacement for Sergio Busquets, according to Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo.

The report states the 18-year-old midfielder is one of a few on the Catalan side’s shortlist to reinforce the central areas and that the club is expected to make a move this summer.

Rennes were unable to convince Camavinga to sign a new deal, with his contract running until the end of next season. With that in mind, it is believed that the Ligue 1 outfit will be more likely to entertain offers rather than let the player, who has immense potential, go without receiving a fee.

The France international has only missed three league games for his club so far this season, and a potential good showing at Euro 2020 might see his value rise even further. Barcelona are one of many suitors for the young talent, with numerous other European clubs linked over recent days including Bayern Munich and Real Madrid.

If the transfer does happen, it will be with an eye to the future, with 32-year-old club legend Busquets likely to start seeing less game time in coming seasons and the Barca hierarchy looking for a contingency plan.

The outlet understands that Inter Milan’s Alessandro Bastoni is a player of interest to Barca, with the 22-year-old reminding the Barca brass a bit of a young Gerrard Pique. Bastoni, who has impressed this season for the Scudetto winners, is reportedly valued at €55 million, and has also been linked with several Premier League clubs.

20.48 BST: Bernd Leno to leave Arsenal this summer?

With rumours swirling that the German would be open to leave the Emirates now that Arsenal are almost assured of missing out on European football, the goalkeeper has reiterated that he is happy at the club.

“I am still happy at Arsenal. Arsenal is still a big club, a big name in the world and in the Premier League,” Leno told Sky Sports.

“There is nobody in the dressing room who says ‘I want to leave the club, I am not happy here anymore’.

“We still have a good environment at the club and in the dressing room. Of course, at times it was not easy this season, but this is part of football.

“It’s not good to feel sorry for ourselves, we need to move forward and change it to a positive as soon as possible.”

Last summer, manager Mikel Arteta picked the 29-year-old as his No.1 ahead of long-time backup Emiliano Martinez, who is enjoying a strong season at Aston Villa.

20.02 BST: Everton and Leeds are both being linked with Wolfsburg winger Josip Brekalo, who has been likened to Dutch legend Arjen Robben.

According to Express Sport, the 22-year-old is liked by not only Leeds and Everton, but also Bayern Munich and Napoli. The left-winger has scored seven goals and added three assists this season in the Bundesliga for third-place Wolfsburg, and is also set to play a role for Croatia this summer at the delayed Euro 2020. Brekalo bagged a hat trick last weekend against Union Berlin and could be an alternative to Rangers’ Ryan Kent for Marcelo Bielsa and Co.

19.07 BST: The LA Galaxy’s French spending spree may not be complete just yet, reports L’ Est-éclair.

The French outlet suggests that the five-time MLS champions are eyeing Troyes defensive midfielder Rayan Raveloson. The 24-year-old’s contract with the Ligue 2 outfit expires at the end of the season, meaning LA could swoop him up on a free transfer. The outlet writes that the Madagascar international, who has made 139 Ligue 2 appearances between Tours and Troyes, and recently helped the latter to promotion to Ligue 1, would likely join a three-year contract.

The Galaxy have already signed centre-back Sega Coulibaly from Nancy and acquired wingers Kevin Cabral (Valenciennes FC) and Samuel Grandsir (Monaco) from France in previous months.

18.19 BST: Roma are looking to upgrade on Pau Lopez, as three years on the club continues to look for a worthy Alisson replacement.

Corriere dello Sport suggests that newly-appointed manager Jose Mourinho is keeping an eye on is Atalanta’s Pierluigi Gollini. Mourinho is reportedly expected to be handed €70 million to improve the Giallorossi, with goalkeeper a priority. Borussia Monchengladbach No. 1 Yann Sommer and Wolves’ Rui Patricio are two other names reportedly on Mourinho’s list, but at 26, Gollini would make the most sense long-term.

17.26 BST: Bookies in the UK are tipping Newcastle to be a contender for midfielder Ross Barkley.

The England man, who is on loan at Aston Villa from Chelsea, is listed a 9/1 to join the Magpies. Everton and West Ham are the betting favorites to land the England man, but Newcastle made a run at the 27-year-old last summer, and Barkley would fit into their recent transfer strategy of landing young, domestically based players.

16.31 BST: Manchester City will offer Fernandinho a new contract and won’t action a buy-back option for Aston Villa midfielder Douglas Luiz, says the Daily Telegraph.

Fernandinho, 36, will sign a new deal as his current terms expire this summer. That means City won’t take up the £27.5m option to bring back Villa’s Douglas, with the Brazilian having moved to the club in 2019.

15.55 BST: UFC legend Conor McGregor has said he would do “big things” with Manchester United if he were to buy the club.

The Premier League club are owned by the American Glazer family, whom fans have protested against since their leveraged buyout in 2005. The protests have stepped up in recent weeks after the announcement of the failed European Super League.

The ESL was announced on April 19, causing widespread anger throughout the world of football. On April 20, McGregor tweeted: “Hey guys, I’m thinking about buying Manchester United! What do you think?”

McGregor was asked by a fan on Twitter whether he still intended to buy the club.

“A conversation came up regarding Celtic first to be honest. To acquire shares from Dermot Desmond,” he replied. “I am certainly interested in acquiring a sports team at some stage! Both Celtic and Man United are teams I like for sure. But I am open. I feel I could do big things for a club.”

15.20 BST: Goal reports that “Arsenal, AC Milan and Monaco are competing to sign Southampton captain Ryan Bertrand after contract talks broke down.”

Bertrand, 31, was the subject of an offer from Arsenal in January but the left-back stayed. Now his contract is set to expire this summer, with Manchester City also reported to be interested, Bertrand could depart.

15.05 BST: Philadelphia Union have signed attacking midfielder Daniel Gazdag from Budapest Honved FC for an undisclosed fee.

Gazdag, 25, has scored 13 goals and contributed six assists in 30 games this season. The Hungary international will occupy an international roster slot.

“We are excited to welcome Daniel to the Philadelphia Union. He is a versatile player who can play multiple positions in the midfield as well as at striker and has the ability to make an immediate impact,” said Ernst Tanner, Philadelphia Union Sporting Director. “His aggressive style of play has made him a top finisher in the Hungarian league and a good fit for our system.”

14.00 BST: Arsenal need a striker amid uncertainty over the futures of Alexandre Lacazette and Eddie Nketiah, and are keen to land Lyon striker Moussa Dembele, says the Daily Telegraph.

Dembele, 24, is on loan at Atletico Madrid (who have an option to sign for him €33.5m this summer). However, the Gunners are keen and could bring in the former Fulham and Celtic man for a bit less.

Celtic striker Odsonne Edouard is also on Arsenal’s list of targets but Leicester are frontrunners and should be able to offer him Champions League football.

13.42 BST: Manchester United are close to signing Burnley goalkeeper Tom Heaton on a free transfer as a replacement for Sergio Romero, according to the Daily Telegraph.

United are looking for a reliable back-up to Dean Henderson and David de Gea, with Argentina international Romero growing tired of his lack of chances.

Heaton, 35, began his career at United but never made a first-team appearance and could be promoted next season if De Gea departs — with sources telling ESPN that the Spaniard is unlikely to accept a role as a No. 2 next season.

United have also joined Tottenham and West Ham in the race to sign West Brom goalkeeper Sam Johnstone, sources have told ESPN’s Mark Ogden.

Johnstone, 28, spent nine years at Old Trafford having progressed through the club’s academy before joining West Brom in a £6.5 million transfer in 2018.

13.17 BST: Manchester United are hoping to land Borussia Dortmund winger Jadon Sancho within the next 30 days as they are preparing a €90m offer to sign him before Euro 2020, Bild reports.

One of the transfer sagas of the 2020 summer, United were unable to bring in the England winger as they weren’t willing to meet the €120m fee that Dortmund wanted.

Following initial issues with his form this season, Sancho has become a key player for Dortmund once again. At the weekend, he kept BVB’s Champions League hopes alive by scoring a brace in the 3-2 win against Leipzig. He now has 14 goals and 18 assists in 35 appearances across all competitions, with all eight Bundesliga strikes coming in 2021.

Sources told ESPN last week that Dortmund want €100m for Sancho this summer and Bild reported that United are prepared to splash out over €90m plus add-ons.

13.07 BST: Juventus legend Gianluigi Buffon has told beIN Sports that he will leave the club at the end of the season.

Buffon, 43, has made 683 appearances in two spells at Juve and won 21 trophies with the club.

“My future is clear and mapped out,” he said. “This beautiful and very long experience with Juventus will come to a definitive close this year. I’ll either stop playing, or if I find a set-up that gives me the motivation to play or have a new life experience then I’ll take it into consideration.”

Serie A side Atalanta have been linked with a move for the Italy international if he remains in the game.

12.30 BST: Paris Saint-Germain and AC Milan are watching Arsenal right-back Hector Bellerin, says The Sun.

ESPN first revealed that, in discussions last year, Mikel Arteta asked Bellerin to give the club one more season and in return they would consider an exit this summer. PSG and Barcelona were keen on exploring a deal for Bellerin — although the Ligue 1 club have privately played down reports they made a £30m offer — but the defender stayed in north London, committing himself for one more season.

Sources have confirmed there are no open conversations between Bellerin and the club regarding his future, but there is a sense from both sides that with two years left on his contract, this summer represents the right time to move on after a decade at the Emirates.

The Sun report states: “Arsenal want a new right-back and are among a number of clubs eyeing Norwich’s Max Aarons, 21. They also like 22-year-old Brazilian star Emerson Royal.

11.10 BST: Former Barcelona midfielder Andres Iniesta has extended his contract with Vissel Kobe by another two years and wants to keep working towards making the Japanese side the best in Asia.

World Cup winner Iniesta, who also celebrated his 37th birthday on Tuesday, signed a three-year contract with Kobe in 2018 after leaving Barcelona, where he won nine La Liga and four Champions League titles.

Since Iniesta joined the J-League team, Kobe won their first silverware at the Emperor’s Cup last year and also qualified for the 2020 AFC Champions League for the first time in their 55-year history.

10.32 BST: Barcelona midfielder Miralem Pjanic could return to former club Juventus as part of a swap deal involving Rodrigo Bentancur, according to RAC1.

Pjanic, 31, only joined Barca last summer in a deal worth around €65m, with Arthur Melo moving in the other direction for €80m. The Bosnia international has found playing time hard to come by at Camp Nou. He has made just 13 starts for Ronald Koeman’s side in all competitions and hasn’t featured at all since March 10. With youngsters Pedri, Ilaix Moriba and even Riqui Puig preferred ahead of him, Barca could be willing to cut their losses on him this summer.

Catalan radio station RAC1 reports that Juve, where Pjanic spent four years before moving to Barca, could be keen on taking him back. And with both teams mired in financial problems, a swap deal could once again be away to make something happen, with Uruguay international Bentancur, 23, said to be of interest to Barca.

09.38 BST: Fulham manager Scott Parker would not be drawn on his future after his club were relegated from the Premier League.

Parker has been linked with the vacancy at Tottenham Hotspur, following the firing of Jose Mourinho. The former Spurs midfielder has been named among the candidates after front-runners Julian Nagelsmann and Erik ten Hag respectively joined Bayern Munich and signed a new contract at Ajax.

Asked about his future following Fulham’s 2-0 loss to Burnley on Monday, which, confirmed their immediate return to the Championship, Parker told Sky: “It’s not a conversation for tonight. We’ve got three games left and my job is to get this team to finish the season in the right way.

“After that the discussion we have as a football club for what we need to do to improve will speak for itself.

“We’ll make those decisions as a football club and we’ll have those discussions. They happen at all good football clubs. We have to be honest and very brutal in terms of what happened this year.”

08.47 BST: Atletico Madrid are finalising an improved deal that will see Marcos Llorente increase his wages, according to AS.

The Rojiblancos have had to move fast with Manchester United, Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich interested in signing the Spain international.

Talks between the player’s agent and the club have intensified in recent weeks with both parties keen for Llorente to continue at Atletico for years to come.

Llorente, 26, has a contract with Atletico until June 2024 and was one of the club players that agreed to have his salary temporarily lowered after the club requested it due to the impact of the coronavirus pandemic.

The new deal will see Llorente earn the same amount as that of Atletico stars Koke and Saul Niguez.

Llorente has scored 13 goals and set up 11 more in 42 appearances for Atletico this season.

08.00 BST: West Ham may struggle to afford to sign Jesse Lingard on a permanent deal, according to the Daily Mail.

Lingard has rejuvenated his career since joining the Hammers on loan from Manchester United in January, scoring nine goals in 13 Premier League appearances to maintain their push for a top-four finish and making a return to the England squad.

However, the Mail reports that the 28-year-old’s desired four-year contract worth more than £100,000 a week would likely be too much for West Ham to afford following the financial hit they have taken during the pandemic.

PAPER GOSSIP (by Luke Thrower)

– Liverpool have shown interest in Leeds United striker Patrick Bamford, according to The Athletic. The 27-year-old has played in every league game this season for Marcelo Bielsa, contributing 15 goals and eight assists in those 35 appearances. This has placed him sixth in the Premier League goal-scoring charts, and his performances have not gone unnoticed by Jurgen Klopp as well as many other clubs. It was also reported that the forward signed a year extension on his existing deal, which now lasts until 2023.

– Watford are keen on signing Galatasaray striker Mbaye Diagne this summer, according to Sky Sports. However, the recently promoted Hornets are not the only side looking at the forward, with the report linking Brighton and Crystal Palace with a move too. The 29-year-old has spent the second half of this season on loan at West Bromwich Albion and has impressed in the Midlands despite the Baggies’ recent relegation.

– Tottenham are looking to offload central defender Davinson Sanchez this summer, according to Football Insider. The 24-year-old joined the club back in 2017 for then-club-record fee of nearly £40m. The Colombia international has been out of favour this season, with his last start coming back in April against Newcastle, and has made only 17 appearances in the league so far.

– Newcastle, Crystal Palace and Watford are in a battle to sign attacking midfielder Gael Kakuta, who is on loan from Amiens to fellow French club Lens. The Daily Mail reports that all three clubs are keen on the 29-year-old. The former Chelsea midfielder has 16 goal involvements in 33 Ligue 1 appearances in what has been a standout campaign in his club’s return to the top division.

– AC Milan are looking to bolster the right flank this summer with a move for Tottenham full-back Serge Aurier. Calciomercato reports that the Italian side are looking at the 28-year-old as a possibility in the upcoming transfer window with an emphasis of signing a player with some experience behind them. The Ivory Coast international joined Spurs in 2017 but has made just 19 league appearances this season, fighting for a spot with summer signing Matt Doherty throughout.

– Serie A clubs Internazionale and Lazio are interested in Chelsea striker Olivier Giroud, according to Calciomercato. The 34-year-old is out of contract in the summer with the two clubs circling the experienced target man. Giroud was part of the France team that won the 2018 World Cup and a good summer at the European Championships could see more sides involved in the race to sign him should he leave the Blues on a free this summer.
